Globe Trot Success!

posted Oct 4, 2010, 9:14 AM by School Related Johnson
A great day was had by all at the 3rd annual Wade King Globe Trot.  Smiling (and sweating!) kids, sunny skies, motivational soundtrack courtesy of DJ Carleson, delicious local apples, pumpkins for carving, and posters & banners illustrating the international exploration undertaken in each classroom.  Thank you to the many parent volunteers, teachers & staff who rubber-banded wrists, sliced apples, counted laps, handed out water and cheered on runners all day long.  Please take a moment to check out the country posters/banners created by the students in class, reflecting their inquiries & exploration of a place & culture.

Many thanks to Tracy Diehl for organizing another successful day of fun & fundraising!

Now that the running is done, please return your child's pledges/donations as soon as possible, and then track our fund raising results on the world map in the cafeteria. $1=1 mile.  How long will it take for us to run around the world?

Parents...if you are able to help count money any morning over the next couple of weeks, please contact Keri Snodgrass.
